Q. Is there any negative marking in KVS PGT exam?

Answer. There is no negative marking in KVS exam. There are total 7 sections for PGT and PRT and 6 sections for TGT in KVS exam. You will get 1 mark for each correct question. The total number of questions and maximum marks for TGT, PGT and PRT exam is 150.

Answer. No, because most of the schools have made B.Ed compulsory for teaching class 11 and 12. But in government schools, you will not get any chance to become a PGT without a bed degree.

Q. Who is eligible for PGT?

Answer. Candidates should be comfortable in teaching in English and Hindi. Individuals who have four years integrated degree course from a regional college approved by NCERT are also considered for PGT eligibility. Candidate must have passed CTET or Central Teacher Eligibility Test before PGT Recruitment

Q. Is CTET mandatory for PGTs?

Answer. Yes, CTET is mandatory for TGT and PGT teachers.

Q. Can we apply for KVS without CTET?

Answer. No. (i) B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University. (ii) Passed in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II conducted by CBSE in accordance with the guidelines framed by NCTE for the purpose.
