Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both–Online Preliminary and Online Main examinations)

Penalty will be levied for wrong answers marked in the objective test. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question or 0.25 marks will be deducted as penalty for arriving at the correct mark. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Preliminary examination

English language :

Mainly focus on topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence Improvement, Fill in the Blanks, Comprehension and Cloze Test etc. Improvement etc.

Idea :

Every candidate needs to focus on impotence, coding & de-coding, inequality, seating arrangement, puzzle blood relation, etc.

Quantitative Aptitude :

Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem on Age, Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date interpretation is the section that has to be focused. You don’t need to go deep into the chapters, just speed up your pace very fast and practice as much as you can.

General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry:

n The questions in this section will be asked from various aspects of current / banking / general affairs. Check out the complete syllabus from below –

  • Current Affairs (read newspaper daily, watch news channel and any source of current affairs like monthly magazine etc.)
  • Banking Awareness (Read banking related magazine, follow RBI official website, etc.)

Interview :

Candidates shortlisted in the Online Main Examination for CRP SPL-IX will subsequently be called for an interview to be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Banks in each State/UT with the help of IBPS. The total marks allotted for the interview is 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview shall not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Online Main Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of the candidates will be worked out on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the online main examination and interview of CRP-SPL-IX.
