A bench of Justice Suresh Kumar Kait and Justice Nina Bansal Krishna was hearing two petitions filed by the prospective candidates. These petitions have sought directions to the respondent authorities to relax the upper age limit. Advertisement regarding recruitment of Head Constable (Ministerial) in CRPF-2022 was published on December 27, 2022. The last date to apply for this post is January 25.
“At this juncture, we have no hesitation to observe that the delay and delay in publishing the vacancies after a gap of six years for recruitment to the said post has affected the future prospects of candidates like the petitioners who are desirous of appointment and Trying in forces.
The court noted that the last date for applying for the said post is January 25 and in light of this fact it directs the respondents (CRPF and the Central Government) to issue a corrigendum on or before January 25, adding that the age limit of three years is exempted.
