5. On this special day sisters prepare the puja thali which includes Rakhi, Kumkum, Rice, Diya and sweets.

6. Sisters tie rakhi on the wrists of brothers and apply ‘roli chawal’ (rice) on their foreheads.

7. Then she prays for the well being of her brother.

8. On Raksha Bandhan, brothers take a pledge to protect their sister for life.

9. After this brother give some gift to his sister.

10. This festival strengthens the bond of love, affection and care between brothers and sisters.
