UPSSSC PET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to appear for UPSSSC PET 2022 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria as if they do not qualify for the eligibility conditions, their application may be rejected.

1. Minimum Educational Qualification: Only candidates who have passed High School / Class 10th or any other equivalent examination can apply for UPSSSC PET 2022. Those who have not passed high school cannot apply.

3. Nationality: The candidates applying must be of Indian nationality. Although it is not specifically stated that the candidate should be a native of Uttar Pradesh. Students looking for placement in Uttar Pradesh can apply for the job as the state is the only place for the job.

2. Age Limit: Candidate age should be between 18 to 40 years. Age relaxation will be applicable to the following categories:

Steps to Fill UPSSSC PET Online Form

The following sequence will be followed while filling the online application form-

Step 1: Access the official website of UPSSSC.

Step 2: Proceed for candidate registration.

Step 3: Click on “Apply” for Preliminary Eligibility Test 2022.

Step 4: If you are a new user then proceed to complete your registration. Read all the details and accept the declaration.

Step 5: Enter your personal information, eligibility details etc. to complete your registration.

Step 6: Proceed to apply online and upload all required documents. The photograph and signature should be in the format (.jpe/jpeg/jpg, 5kb to 30kb).

Step 7: Submit the remaining details and pay the applicable fee and complete your application process.

Step 8: Take a print out of the application form for future reference.

The application fee can be paid through debit/credit card, internet banking and SBI e-challan.

Fees shall neither be refunded nor carried forward if the application for UPSSSC PET 2022 is rejected/candidature is found to be ineligible or candidate is unable to appear in the examination.

UPSSSC PET 2022 Exam Pattern

As per the recently released notice for PET the exam pattern is as follows:

1. The exam will consist of objective type multiple choice questions
2. A total of 100 such questions will be asked.
3. The duration of the exam will be of 2 hours.
4. Wrong answers will result in negative marking of 1/4 mark.
5. Difficulty of questions for subjects from Sr. No. The NCERTs from 1 to 9 will be as per the Secondary/Senior Secondary level.

UPSSSC PET Salary, Pay Scale, Perks, Benefits

In the official notification, it is mentioned that the PET exam will be conducted for the posts whose Pay Scale 1 (5200-20200) Grade Pay above 1900/- and Pay Scale 2 (9300-34800) Grade Pay below 4600/- . ,

Apart from the basic, there are also various allowances attached to the posts like DA, HRA, Traveling Allowance etc. which depending on the post initially carry a salary ranging from Rs 25000 to Rs 37000.

UPSSSC PET 2022 Result

After giving the UPSSSC PET 2022 exam, a merit list of shortlisted candidates will be prepared for appearing in Group B & C Main exam for the particular posts and vacancies released from time to time. Merit list will be prepared category wise i.e. UR, OBC, SC/ST.

UPSSSC PET exam will be of qualifying nature. Candidates need to clear the cutoff to qualify for the main exam. The cutoff will be different for different posts. The merit list of the candidates will be released on the website of UPSSSC. Candidates can download the merit list to check their score and then wait for cutoff.
