A candidate selected as a Sub-Inspector (SI) is primarily required to maintain law and order in Delhi by exercising the powers granted by the Government of India. The powers conferred on a police officer are given through the Indian Code of Criminal Procedure.
SSC CPO Salary of SI in Delhi Police
As mentioned earlier, the pay scale of a Sub Inspector in Delhi Police ranges from Level 6 i.e. 35,400 to 1,12,400 per month. The post is eligible for various perks and allowances, some of which are mentioned as follows:

Transport Allowance (TA)

- City: Rs.3600+DA thereon
- All other places: Rs.1800+DA thereon
Diet allowance/Ration Money
Employees are given diet allowance to cater to their dietary needs for health:
- Delhi Police – Diet allowance of Rs 101.5
CISF – Ration money of Rs 97.85 per head per day
Education Allowance for Children/ Hostel Subsidy
- You will also get CEA (Children Education Allowance) @ Rs.2250/- per month for children studying class Nursery to 12th class.
- Hostel subsidy @ Rs.6750/- per month for children studying in hostel.
Dress Allowance
- Annual allowance of Rs.10,000/- is given in July of every year.
