BSF invites from male and female Indian citizens for appointment to the combined posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial). The posts are temporary but likely to be permanent.

Age Limit For BSF HCM :

Candidates age limit is between 18 years to 25 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by five years for SC and ST candidates and five years for government employees. Also, relaxation can be given to ex-servicemen and other special category persons as per orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.

Pay Scale For BSF HCM :

ASI Steno	Level 5 (Rs. 29,200 – 92,300)
HC (Min)	Level 4 (Rs. 25,500 – 81,100)

Educational Qualification :

Name of post	Educational Qualification
Assistant Sub Inspector (Steno)	Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent. Shorthand @ 80 words per minute in English or Hindi for 10 minutes. Transcription or Dictation in English in 50 minutes on computer or Transcription of Dictation in Hindi in 65 minutes on computer.
Head Constable (Ministerial)	Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent. Typing @35 words

Application Fee For BSF Head Constable Ministerial :

Candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee. SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen and Departmental (BSF) candidates are not required to submit the application fee.
